The Ontario Provincial Police reported on March 9 that a male driver was killed in a single vehicle accident sometime in the overnight hours. The collision occurred on Spruce Drive near Ormond Road, on the outskirts of Winchester. The vehicle left the road and struck a tree. It is not known exactly what time the collision occurred, given the low traffic volume on Spruce Drive in the overnight hours. The scene was discovered at approximately 6:30am.
The victim of the collision was not identified. The Times extends its condolences to his family.
