Frank Prevost, the Mayor of the Township of South Glengarry, and Warden for the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, has been granted an unpaid 6-month leave of absence from the Township of South Glengarry and as a result he is no longer be eligible to fulfill the requirements as a sitting member of County Council for the duration of the leave. He will no longer meet the criteria required to serve as Warden of the Council of the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
At a future meeting, Council will determine how to best fill the role of Warden for the balance of 2021.
