Sunday August 8th 1.30pm Winchester:
The sun was shining and the park outside the Joel Steele arena was buzzing with excitement! Tractors were starting to gather in the parking lot and people of all ages were eagerly awaiting the arrival of Farmer Johns tractor parade.
They were not dissapointed! Approximately 62 Tractors of all sizes, shapes, makes, models and ages followed John on his route through Winchester, but not before the man himself made a stop to collect a wagon full of passengers to accompany him on the ride.
A member of the ND Times staff, Hayley (accompanied by her daughter and friend) were offered a ride on the wagon and couldn’t turn down such a generous gesture.
‘The girls had a whale of a time!’ said Hayley ‘and seeing the faces of the residents at the Dundas Manor, as well as the many friends, families and children along the route was just priceless’
I think all that is left to say is
Well done Farmer John and Linda and Thank you for another wonderful afternoon!
